With a high degree of interoperability and ease of reuse, Linked Data makes it possible to semantically interlink and connect resources at data level no matter what the structure of the data is, who created it, or where it comes from.  The fusion of Linked Open Data and Linked Enterprise Data paves the way for modern and innovative data management with intelligent data aggregation; discovery and integration; simplified publishing and sharing of data; enrichment and contextualization of data; and improved user experience for search, presentation, and visualization. \nIn this presentation, we describe a semantic cloud architecture for the automated development of Linked Data applications, following the ?everything-as-a-service? paradigm: Going beyond the provisioning of infrastructure and platform as a service, we introduce Linked Data as a Service, enabling enterprise and web data sources to be consumed as a service. This Linked Data as a Service concept is realized by the virtualization of data sources, where remote sources can be connected ad hoc based on a federation approach, while the location and access of these sources is transparent to application developers and end users. \nWe present the implementation of this architecture in the Information Workbench and demonstrate applications in a variety of domains, including the Life Sciences, Media&Publishing, and Data Center Management.
