DESCRIPTION:Click for Latest Location Information: http://semtechbizsf2012.semanticweb.com/sessionPop.cfm?confid=65&proposalid=4859\nYou have probably heard the name OWLIM several times in relation to high-profile semantic technology applications. However, if you are not familiar with some of the details, you might be wondering what it actually does or what features it has that make it the RDF database of choice for the BBC, the Press Association, and the British Museum.\nThis workshop will give an overview of the W3C technologies that OWLIM supports and as well as its powerful features that go beyond this technology stack. In the year since the last SemTech in San Francisco, OWLIM has matured in a number of ways to make it better, faster, more reliable and easier to use. The features that will be presented include:\n?	optimized handling owl:sameAs that enable efficient integration of multiple datasets\n?	updates to Full-text search, ranking and the new graph/literal indices\n?	geo-spatial indices that enable efficient handling of geographic constraints\n?	cluster architecture of OWLIM-Enterprise \n?	monitoring console, allowing administrators to analyse and manage the query load\n?	integration with other tools like TopBraid Composer \nThis continued evolution of improvements and new features has led to its adoption in a range of new use-cases. The workshop will finish with a description of these use-cases, highlighting the trends underlying the adoption of OWLIM in semantic technology applications such as:\n?	enterprise semantic search for pharmaceutical companies\n?	semantic annotation and dynamic web publishing in the media sector\n?	linked data integration in services like LinkedLifeData, FactForge and UniProt\n?	vertical search engines, like the Edamam food and recipe search engine
